DB Breweries Ninth Employer Awarded the DVFREE Tick

Oct 7, 2019

DB’s Managing Director Peter Simons said, “At DB, we are committed to fostering the well-being of all our people through providing a healthy and safe workplace, and recognise that domestic violence is a serious issue in New Zealand. We are conscious that organisations cannot claim ‘immunity’ to the effects of domestic violence, so for DB the DVFREE Tick is a mark of confidence that we will continue to take meaningful steps to create a workplace that is safe and supportive for staff impacted by domestic violence at home or at work.

“We have now put in place a robust policy and process to support our people, and the majority of our people leaders have received training on domestic violence, including a group of ‘First Responders’ who can be approached for guidance and support.”
